About

Me

I'm Cyprien, a French software engineer living in Aichi, Japan. I work on backend systems and infrastructure. I like problems that turn out to have a simple design hiding in them, and I try to write code that's easy to pick up again six months later.

Outside work I take things apart to see how they work. Lately that means operating systems. I also cook (my son tells me I make good pancakes), watch movies, and go on long walks. I'm a parent, so there isn't much spare time for any of it.

If you have a question or an opportunity, spot a dead link or a typo, or just want to say hello, don't hesitate to contact me. Always happy to hear from people!

Website

What is this site about?

This is a personal and amateur website that I treat as my digital garden, gathering bookmarks, projects, things I find interesting, etc. It grows slowly and nothing here is set in stone. Look around, take your time, and you might stumble on an easter egg or a whole Pandora's box.

What is the story behind the website?

It started back on October 7th 2023 (first commit). At that time the site was hosted on GitHub Pages and used Hugo with the Archie theme. On January 17th 2026, I decided to move to GitLab Pages.
